Statement of Need

Recent advances in the treatment of gynecologic cancers are promising, and education is needed to ensure that both oncology and primary care clinicians, including OB/GYNs, have a thorough knowledge of the latest clinical trial data and its translation to real-world practice. In particular, recently approved therapeutic options for the treatment of cervical cancer necessitate an understanding of these options in order to choose the best treatment options for patients with cervical cancer. Members of the multidisciplinary team tasked with care for patients with cervical cancer need to know about the efficacy and safety data of these potential therapy options to be able to determine the value of each for those recently diagnosed or living with recurrent cervical cancer.

In the sixth activity of this CME Outfitters podcast series on gynecologic cancers, expert faculty will present and discuss the very latest research on treatment options for cervical cancer, including recently approved treatments, and how to choose between them for patients with recurrent cervical cancer.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:

  • Differentiate the efficacy and safety data of recently approved therapeutic options for the treatment of cervical cancer

Financial Support

Supported by independent educational grants from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA.
