In the evolving landscape of healthcare, understanding and implementing trauma-informed care practices are crucial for improving patient outcomes. Trauma-informed care focuses on creating safe and supportive environments for individuals affected by trauma. Gender-informed care ensures practice of trauma-informed care through respectful and appropriate treatment for gender-diverse individuals, while culturally informed care ensures the practice of trauma-informed care through the practice of cultural humility. Despite advances in these areas, significant gaps in knowledge and practice remain, underscoring the need for targeted educational interventions.
In this CME Outfitters Snack, expert faculty will address the gaps in trauma-informed and share best practices for improving the quality of care provided to all patients, including individuals affected by trauma and gender diversity, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and enhanced professional practice.
