Ethnic/racially diverse populations in the United States face major disparities in mental health care access and quality. For example, these individuals are less likely to receive community behavioral health services, and more likely to been seen in emergency departments and hospitals for mental health conditions. Fueled by unchecked inequities, these disparities contribute to overall reduced mental health care outcomes for underserved racial and ethnic groups.
In this CME Outfitters podcast episode, expert faculty will discuss cultural and systemic challenges faced by ethnic/racially diverse patients, and empower health care professionals with education, tools, and resources to address these challenges and provide more equitable mental health care for all.
Analyze the influence of unconscious bias, health disparities, and health inequities on mental health care.
Supported by an educational grant from Johnson & Johnson.
