Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and associated excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) are exhausted by more than just lack of sleep. The challenge for health care professionals (HCPs) is to recognize and mitigate the myriad of patient factors that inhibit effective treatment and reduce quality of life in patients with OSA and EDS, including those who are compliant with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment—like our patient, Hector, who initiated CPAP treatment 5 months ago but struggles with persistent EDS.
Join us for this first of three BriefCase activities in which our expert faculty interweaves foundational knowledge with exercises for HCPs to practice new learnings with a case that emulates a patient with OSA and EDS seen in clinical practice.
Identify the QoL impact of persistent EDS in patients with OSA including those who are CPAP adherent.
Supported by an educational grant from Axsome.
