As a result of often-delayed diagnosis and treatment, patients with Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) are presenting at an older age and with more liver and non-liver comorbidities that can further complicate treatment. Keeping a watchful eye on patients’ use of over-the-counter medications, supplements, and prescription medications for comorbid disorders that may interact with their HBV antiviral treatment is imperative.
This CME Outfitters webcast focuses on how pharmacists can partner with patients to help them to better understand their HBV, as well as best practices for communicating and collaborating with health care professionals about patients’ HBV treatment plans, and how they might be impacted by medical comorbidities, in order to optimize patient outcomes.
At the end of this CME/CE activity, participants should be able to partner with patients with HBV and their HCPs to support therapeutic decision-making in the presence of renal and bone comorbidities.
