Statement of Need

The Mycophenolate Pregnancy Registry was introduced to assess risks and outcomes associated with mycophenolate use during pregnancy – a situation that occurs far too often, despite boxed warnings and an ongoing REMS program.

In this second of two, interactive CMEO BriefCase demonstrations, an expert faculty will react to the actions taken by a clinician when her patient becomes pregnant while taking mycophenolate three years post-kidney transplantation. The program will emphasize pros and cons about the clinician-patient interactions highlighted in the vignettes, while offering practical information on the steps involved for both patients and clinicians to participate in the Mycophenolate Pregnancy Registry.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:

  • Assess the purpose and process of participating in the Mycophenolate Pregnancy Registry
  • Assist patients in enrolling and participating in the Mycophenolate Pregnancy Registry
