Statement of Need

Recent advances in the treatment of gynecologic cancers are promising, and education is needed to ensure that both oncology and primary care clinicians, including OB/GYNs, have a thorough knowledge of biomarkers, current and emerging therapies, and how the latest clinical trial data translates to real-world practice. Utilizing recent data to guide first-line maintenance therapy, particularly for ovarian cancer (OC), can be especially informative, helping to prolong the response of front-line therapy and delay the need for additional therapies. Members of the multidisciplinary team tasked with care for patients with OC need to know about potential therapy options and determine the value of each for those patients recently diagnosed or living with recurrent OC.

In the fifth activity of this CME Outfitters podcast series on gynecologic cancers, expert faculty will present and discuss the very latest research that guides the use of first-line maintenance therapy for the treatment of OC.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:

  • Utilize recent data to guide the use of first-line maintenance therapy for treating patients with advanced OC
