Colleagues from KnowFully Medical Education’s (KME) two flagship brands – CME Outfitters (CMEO) and Creative Educational Concepts (CEC) – recently attended the 2024 Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP) Annual Conference, held from February 5-8 in New Orleans. The theme of this year’s conference was “Unlocking Your Potential,” and both CMEO and CEC had opportunities to demonstrate how the companies’ respective educational initiatives are helping healthcare professionals enhance their impact and effectiveness.
CMEO was honored to be chosen by the Alliance as the winner of the 2024 Award for Excellence in Educational Design for its educational initiative titled Unconscious Bias and Racial Disparities in Healthcare: A Call to Action. The initiative included a total of 39 activities encompassing live webinars, podcasts, video cases, and digital monographs.
CMEO also presented three posters at the conference: Disentangling Gendered Cancer Care From Check-in to Check-out, An Equitable Welcome: Education to the Front Office, and a poster to showcase our award-winning DEI work.
CEC’s Rebecca Weaver, CHCP, and CMEO’s Lily Zurkovsky, PhD, presented on “Lending Patient Experiences to Medical Education: More Than the Journey.” The panel also included patient-advocate and co-founder of EGFR Resisters, Jill Feldman, MA, and and Pamela Mason, CHCP, Senior Director of the Medical Education Grants Office (MEGO) at AstraZeneca.
